The taping of the blade, made by hand with grained flap wheels, favours the movement of the blade through wood, reducing the amount of surface friction and increasing the efficacy of the cut. The sharpening, also completed by hand, guarantees a better performance of cutting of any type of wood, even more knotty woods. The German Style Hatchet measures in at 14.13" overall with a 4" cutting edge and 5.75" carbon steel axe head. The handle is made from Ash wood. Bulk packed.
